From the Ashes
The best religion story going is the Boston Red Sox, who defeated the Yankees 10-3 last night to clinch the ALCS, led by their centerfielder, Johnny Damon of Nazareth. Reading the Boston Globe this morning, I thought
I was in church.
A few of the headlines:
Redemption for All. Miracle Workers. The fall of the Evil Empire.
My dear friends over at the Revealer.org wonder if the Red Sox mantra, "There's always next year," is a holdover from pagan beliefs, though it could just as well be the phoenix rising from the ashes, as a Boston Globe columnist suggested that Red Sox pitcher Derek Lowe had done.
Still can hardly believe that my 6 year old saw this coming.
Keep the Faith.
